These ministries participate in liturgies and serve the parish.

ALTAR SERVERS prepare the altar and assist the priest during the liturgy. This ministry is open to anyone in grades 2-12, who has received the Sacrament of First Eucharist.

EXTRAORDINARY MINISTERS OF HOLY COMMUNION assist the priest in distributing the Body and Blood of Christ as needed at liturgies. Some ministers also bring Communion to the sick, hospitalized, and shut-ins, providing a continuing link between all parishioners.

LECTORS proclaim the Word of God from the Old and New Testament at our parish liturgies. They also read announcements and lead us in the Prayers of the Faithful.

ADORATION of the BLESSED SACRAMENT is a devotion in which the consecrated Eucharist is displayed for worship.  We are fortunate to have this ministry at Our Lady of the Lake, as it allows us to come and spend time in quiet prayer and reflection, deepening our spiritual connection with Jesus. Adorers can sign up for an hour or half hour time slot each week.

GREETERS help the pastor fulfill the parish’s God-given mission to greet the community gathering for worship, offering help, making people feel at home, and transmitting sincere joy, peace, and a sense of being welcomed.
