FINAL SCHEDULE UPDATE:
Because the April 3rd Session was cut short due to weather, we have extended the final session to Wednesday night, April 10th, at 6:30pm. We will cover questions 2 & 3 from Session 3. Click this link to review the questions and to listen to Father Ken's homily which corresponds to this session.
See the table below for all program details and updated dates.
YET ANOTHER SCHEDULE UPDATE:
Because Father Ken is not feeling well, the final session of the Adult Faith Formation series, originally scheduled for January 31st, is delayed until further notice. Watch for an update soon. (This session is now scheduled for Wednesday, April 3rd. Please see the announcement at the top of the page).
SCHEDULE UPDATE:
Because of the excellent turnout and participation of parishioners, Session 1, originally scheduled for Wednesday, 12/6, but delayed to Wednesday 12/13, took two weeks! Excellent participation caused other sessions to take multiple weeks as well.
Since the week between the Christmas and New Year's celebrations was so hectic, the second and third sessions were pushed into the new year. Due to conflicts in Father Ken's schedule, the final meeting for Session 3 is now scheduled for January 31st (This session is now scheduled for Wednesday, April 3rd. Please see the announcement at the top of the page).
See the table below for all program details and updated dates.
From Father Ken's 11/26/2023 bulletin message:
I will be leading a faith-sharing group on Wednesdays during Advent (December 6th, 13th and 20th) at 6:30pm in the Parish Center. What I am introducing here is what I did in my last two parish assignments, that is, present what is called a "message series".
This Advent message series is called 'The Eucharist: The Ultimate Christmas Present'. It will be based on the small book 'Beautiful Eucharist', which famed Catholic writer Matthew Kelly edited. It is a collection of easy to read and powerful essays (many by equally well-known writers) on the Eucharist. Through the generosity of a donor, parishioners will receive copies of this book soon. I have seen people in my previous parishes experience wonderful faith-sharing and bonding with their group members.
I have audio recordings of homilies posted on the website with these message series in mind: if, during the series, you participate in a mass which Msgr. Jim celebrates, you get to hear his excellent homily, but you can also hear mine on the website to prepare for the small group session. If you are interested in joining the small group, please let me know through phone, email or in person.
Know that you do not need to participate in all the sessions. In fact, if you can’t make any, you can still do something on your own because you will have access to all the resources we will use.
You can see the details of each session, including Father Ken's homilies and session questions by clicking the Session number link in the table below.
